Many remodels are small. HomeGuide lists swapping a pump, filter, light or drain, fixing a leak, or replacing worn tile.
Bigger jobs add a heater, waterfall, cover, fence or hot tub. The biggest ones expand or reshape the pool.
Pool work in Florida needs a licensed pool contractor. Electrical and plumbing work need their own licensed contractor.
HomeGuide says a remodel needs a permit if it has digging, plumbing or electrical work. Ask who pulls it.
